Repentance or Penance?

Repentance or Penance - MEDF

Repentance or Penance – did you know there is a difference?
One is paying for your sins and one is turning from them.
Which is which?
Which one does God desire from us and why?

The Bible tells us that,
“The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise,
as some people think. No, He is being patient for our sake.
He does not want anyone to be destroyed,
but He wants everyone to Repent.”  – 2 Peter 3:9 (NLT)
Let’s explore that today with some examples from the Word.

Love Your Neighbor as Yourself.

Love Your Neighbor - MEDF

Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was.
He said there were two.

The first was to Love God with all your heart, soul and mind
and the Second was to “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Just how do you love your neighbor as yourself, and
how do you love yourself in the right way?

That’s the topic for today on Spiritual Saturday the GodPod.
